Strata III

The REL Strata III looks as good as it sounds. Lovingly crafted, tested and meticulously researched in true REL style, the Strata III includes many innovative state-of-the-art refinements to deliver the most accurate and musical bass available within its price category. The Strata III employs an enhanced version of REL's definitive "ABC" filtering circuit, setting the upper response limit in 24 musically correct semi­tone increments, between 22Hz and 96Hz. To complement this new and unparalleled level of flexibility, separate volume controls are provided for both high and low level inputs together with a "straight through" facility, which bypasses the filter when reproducing the pre-filtered LFE component of discrete multi-channel music and movie surround sound formats. Unlike its predecessor the Strata II, the Strata III is a closed-box design for greater phase accuracy. A new custom-engineered 100W DC-coupled MOSFET amplifier and high quality 10" (250mm) long-throw, downward firing driver work in harmony to reproduce the finest quality bass for any application. And REL's refined audibly transparent "Set-Safe" protection circuitry ensures REL standards of reliability, from a design beautifully finished in a choice of Grittex black or no fewer than five real wood veneers.

Storm III

Power poise and finesse - the Storm III has it all, exuding all the excellence that comes with the name. REL's commitment to the highest standards of design and build has endowed the Storm III with truly awesome capabilities. Like its cousin the Strata III, Storm III offers an evolution in electronic design from its wholly redesigned and upgraded 150W DC-coupled MOSFET amplifier to its sophisticated "ABC" crossover, setting the upper response limit in 24 musically correct increments between 22Hz and 96Hz. Storm III offers separate volume controls for high and low level inputs, a "straight-through" LFE bypass, an improved, audibly transparent, "Set-Safe" protection circuit and a high quality 10" (250mm) long-throw downward firing driver. Superior gas-tight Neutrik connectors are supplied as standard for Storm Ill's stereo high level input, and for its single channel balanced high level inputs. Storm III also offers a balanced low-level XLR input for use with professional and suitably equipped domestic systems. Its cabinet is precision-crafted from 30mm MDF and is finished in a robust Grittex Black, or a choice of five beautiful real wood veneers - Black Ash, Light Oak, Rosenut, Walnut and Cherry. Storm Ill's wood-finished cabinets are additionally reinforced with internal veneers to ensure long-term structural stability. The Storm III -cabinet, driver, amplifier and electronics perfectly poised to deliver the highest quality bass resolution and impact to lovers of the lowest frequencies.
